A COMMUNITY OF CHANGEMAKERS
We’ve improved the lives of more than half a million of our neighbors. With your help, we can do so much more.
By supporting United Way’s Impact Fund, you help deliver critical assistance and change the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors by meeting basic needs, moving toward financial stability and building success in school and life.
Connecting people at times of crisis with immediate, essential human needs such as shelter, safety and food.
Helping working families and individuals overcome short-term instability and create a path to a more financially secure future.
Addressing disparities in educational opportunities from early childhood through school years and helping young people become successful adults.
Coaches influence far more than what happens on the field. Across Southwestern Pennsylvania, United Way is supporting programs that help coaches promote respectful behavior in young athletes. This national initiative is focused on prevention of gender-based violence and United Way is proud to partner with Domestic Violence Services of SWPA, Blackburn Center, Wesley Family Services, Pittsburgh Action Against Rape and Homewood Children’s Village. This fall, the curriculum is getting an update that will include mental health principles and focus more deeply on incorporating healthy social and emotional awareness. These enhancements will help coaches address the mental health challenges that some athletes experience. Want to know how you can help? Contact us here.
