Why did you choose to make Southwestern PA your home?

This is where I originally grew up and my family is located here. I know that many of my colleagues have moved away but I’ve always seen Southwestern PA as a place where I can make a significant difference.

What do you love most about your job?

I love being able to help my clients with tax and accounting issues. It’s truly rewarding when I’m able to assist an individual or a company and make their lives easier. Additionally, being the owner of my own firm, allows me to build a team that truly cares about our clients and quality services. It never feels like work!

What is important to you outside of work?

I have a new baby son, Oliver, with my wife Rosie, and I enjoy spending quality time with them. It has been an amazing experience introducing a new life into the world and I am always in a good mood when I’m with my family.

Where is your favorite place to travel?

I really have enjoyed going to Europe. We’ve been there on several occasions. Venice, Italy has been one of my favorite spots. The food, history, and sights are all unforgettable! For our next vacation, I’m looking forward to traveling to the Canadian Rockies.

Why do you think it’s so important to give back to your community?

I grew up on the receiving end of assistance and scholarships. It’s an honor now to be in a position to provide opportunities and services to those in need.

Why do you volunteer with United Way?

I was drawn to United Way because it was a way for me to utilize my expertise as a CPA. I am able to contribute on various financial committees and projects and add real value.

What are you most passionate about when it comes to your charitable efforts?

I am especially passionate about helping young people who want to succeed. Sometimes the difference between success and failure is simply access to opportunities or financial assistance. A single positive moment of assistance can change a young person’s life forever. And the ripple effects are long-lasting.

What is your favorite United Way memory?

My favorite memory was assisting with the merger between Butler and Southwestern PA’s United Ways. It was quite an arduous undertaking and a lot of hard work, but we had a great team of individuals. I believe it has led to a stronger, more successful organization!
