LEIGH ORBICH

211 Contact Center Supervisor, PA 211 SW

It’s not often you get to change lives but Leigh Orbich gets to make an impact every day at the 211 Contact Center.

As Supervisor of the center, Leigh is in charge of interviewing candidates, acting as the first point of contact for the Lead Resource Navigators and managing the office’s housing contracts.

What Leigh loves most about working at United Way is helping the people who contact 211. She also enjoys working with the 211 team and finds it meaningful that some of her staffers have been there since she started.

Watching the 211 staff grow has been her favorite experience at United Way. She remembers when the helpline only served Allegheny County – they would get around 25 calls a day and had just two Resource Navigators. Now, the contact center is open 24/7, fielding thousands of calls, texts and chats each day from Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland Counties with the help of 34 Resource Navigators.

In her free time, Leigh likes to spend time with her 11-month-old daughter Violet and her black cats, Sushi, Lavender and Pancake, at their home in Brookline. She also enjoys cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

We are grateful for dedicated employees like Leigh. Thank you!
