MELISSA MILLER

Although she hasn’t been part of the team for long, Melissa Miller is already seeing the benefits of working at United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Melissa started at United Way in February 2022 as an Administrative Assistant to the Operations Department but leveraged her skills to move to her current position as HR/Payroll Manager. She likes to think of herself as the person who helps her fellow employees with all their information and payroll needs.

On a typical day, Melissa is directly interacting with fellow United Way employees by answering their employment and benefits questions, onboarding new staff members, adding job openings to find new talent and remitting payroll for her coworkers.

What she loves best about working for United Way is knowing that she’s at an organization that helps the SWPA community. Melissa also believes the teams and morale at United Way make it one of the most enjoyable places she’s ever worked. She feels lucky to have found a place to support people while they support the community!

A new resident of Steubenville, Ohio, Melissa still looks fondly at her time growing up in Pittsburgh. Her family enjoys spending time together at the Steubenville Marina. In her free time, Melissa likes to bargain shop and go to yard sales. Thank you for your continued support and hard work!
