United Way of Southwest PA is looking for a dynamic professional to serve as the Projects Manager for PA 2-1-1 Southwest. An initiative of United Way, PA 2-1-1 Southwest is part of a national network that connects people in need with human service help (such as food pantries, utility assistance, and resources for seniors) via phone, text, chat, and web-based self-service.
The Projects Manager will manage the implementation, expansion, and evaluation of 2-1-1’s Integrated Referral Network (IRN), an online collaboration platform for non-profit agencies. Working closely with 2-1-1 and other staff, they will identify ways to partner strategically to improve the quality of and access to information about specific areas of UW’s Community Impact work. They will also assist the 2-1-1 Director with securing and managing new funded partnerships, as well as preparing requests and reports for funding support from foundations and donors. Importantly, they will manage the non-technical components of HIPAA compliance for 2-1-1, including hardening of our physical space and policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be results-oriented, a creative problem solver, have a collaborative working style, and embody a deep respect for diversity. Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work or the equivalent and two years of related work experience required.
