Children who believe they can, do.

Children living in poverty are at risk of experiencing significant academic and life challenges. In Allegheny County alone, almost 250,000 children and teens are already struggling. United Way wants every child in every school to have a good education so they can have a productive, successful future.

We strive to provide social and academic support for students in Pittsburgh and throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania from the very start. Beginning as early as kindergarten, our youth work focuses on creating a positive influence in student lives, instilling in them a desire to achieve, and preparing them for success after school.
