OUR IMPACT AREAS
By supporting United Way’s Impact Fund, you help deliver critical assistance and change the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors by meeting basic needs, moving toward financial stability and building success in school and life.
Connecting people at times of crisis with immediate, essential human needs such as shelter, safety and food.
Helping working families and individuals overcome short-term instability and create a path to a more financially secure future.
Addressing disparities in educational opportunities from early childhood through school years and helping young people become successful adults.
Right now, despite being employed, nearly 30% of households in our region cannot effort basic necessities like food. United Way’s basic needs investment priority supports our vulnerable neighbors, providing life-saving assistance to those in emergency situations. Food insecurity is a major part of this work. Our commitment to food security in our region has multiple facets, including a special fund that will award mini grants to support community-based programs that increase access to sustainable food sources and hands-on volunteer events that allow community members to assist in the packing and distribution of food to local families. United Way will host a volunteer event that will distribute nearly 2,000 meal kits to local families on May 15th, 2023.
