Learn About Us

WE ARE MAKING MOMENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY

When individuals bring their unique skills and passions together to support United Way, life-changing moments start to happen right here in Southwestern PA—that makes our community measurably better for everyone.

This is your moment to be part of the solution. Your involvement makes every other contribution more meaningful and impactful. Make your moment today.

Why we are different

United Way focuses on solving the pressing issues you care about by bringing together the entire community — policymakers, corporate leaders, excellent agency partners, and people like you who want to help – to assist our neighbors in need and develop long-term solutions. No other single local non-profit can mobilize all of these partners and bring them together to achieve results. Together we have the opportunity to transform the lives of so many people throughout Pennsylvania and accomplish long- lasting impact.

Our Board

United Way’s Board of Directors is a distinguished group of leaders in the greater Pittsburgh area and across Pennsylvania whose strategic decision-making and guidance steer the organization. We set significant and measurable goals and hold ourselves accountable to you and to our board. We recruit people and organizations from all across the community who bring the passion, expertise, and resources needed to get things done, which is reflected in the make-up of the board.

The commitment of United Way board members is not only evident in the time they contribute as volunteers, but each board member also donates generously to support our work.

Together, we can accomplish far more than any individual or single organization could alone. When the challenges we face seem overwhelming, it is important to remember that great things happen when we focus our collective energy on the issues that matter most.

Our vision at United Way is to be a leader in bringing people and resources together to achieve measurable results that improve the quality of life for the long-term for our most vulnerable neighbors.

We thank you for your support.  Together, we are stronger.  Together, we are United Way.
