OUR IMPACT AREAS
A COMMUNITY OF CHANGEMAKERS
We’ve improved the lives of more than half million of our neighbors. With your help, we can do so much more.
By supporting United Way’s Impact Fund, you help deliver critical assistance and change the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors by meeting basic needs, moving toward financial stability and building success in school and life.
Connecting people at times of crisis with immediate, essential human needs such as shelter, safety and food.
Helping working families and individuals overcome short-term instability and create a path to a more financially secure future.
Addressing disparities in educational opportunities from early childhood through school years and help young people become successful adults.
Westmoreland County residents who are facing eviction or struggling to pay utility bills because of the COVID-19 pandemic have somewhere to turn this winter. In December, United Way’s 211 partnered with Union Mission to increase access to available funds through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). This expanded program is keeping more families safely in their homes by assisting them with overdue rent and utilities.
