MEET TARA MONACO

A resident of Edgewood Borough, Tara Monaco has been helping companies connect with United Way since Fall 2021. As New Business Lead/Corporate Engagement Manager, Tara works directly with workplace partners to build relationships and ensure they have successful campaigns. Her days are a mix of client meetings and interactions with others on the Donor Relations team. For Tara, being able to share ideas with her teammates is one of the best parts of her job.

Another aspect of her position that Tara appreciates is getting to work with people who care about helping others. Their passion for making changes in the community is inspiring and it makes her job that much more wonderful. Her favorite memory at United Way, so far, is the WLC 20th Anniversary event. Not only did she enjoy the event itself, but she was delighted to work together as a team preparing for the event and the day of the event.

When she’s not working with corporate partners, Tara is spending time with her family, especially her new grandson Romeo. With a blended family of five kids between 14-28 years old, there’s never a dull moment. Tara’s also a very active member at St. James Church in Wilkinsburg and volunteers a few times per month at The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Light of Life.
