Manager, Moving Toward Financial Stability

The Community Impact Manager, Moving Toward Financial Stability will assist the United Way of Southwestern PA (UWSWPA) in meeting the goal of helping individuals and families create a path towards a financially secure future. Working in strategic and creative partnership with the Moving to Financial Stability Director and Community Impact Leadership (including PA 211 Southwest), the Manager will have oversight of a diverse portfolio of granted agencies and issues and community-focused initiatives to achieve measurable success within the investment priority of Moving Toward Financial Stability. The Manager will also play a critical role in building community partnerships and work collaboratively across all United Way departments to create meaningful community change. They will also provide end-to-end grant management, from discovery of community need to selection of funded partners and reporting outcomes.

A Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, public administration, social work or related field and five (5) years working in a human services or related field is required. A Master’s degree and experience in grant writing is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of education.

Annual Salary
Pay Grade – 107
Salary Range – $54,000 – $63,600

Manager of Volunteer Engagement

The Manager of Volunteer Engagement supports the Senior Director of Regional Engagement with the development and execution of United Way’s stakeholder engagement strategy, including volunteer events for corporate partners and individuals, as well as programs which seek to educate stakeholders about the challenges United Way is working to address in the community, such as Connect U, the Poverty Spiral, and the Racial Wealth Gap Simulator. This individual will supervise a small team of coordinators who execute volunteer and engagement events, and directly contribute to the work of the Volunteer Initiatives team, which mobilizes thousands of volunteers, hundreds of the region’s top companies, and leading human services agencies in support of United Way’s overall strategic objectives.

A Bachelor’s degree or three (3) to five (5) years of experience in volunteer management, event planning or a similar field is required. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of education.

Annual Salary
Pay Grade – 105
Salary Range – $47,000 – $52,500

Quality Assurance & Training Specialist

United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Assurance & Training Specialist for PA 211 Southwest, Southeast, and Northwest. 211 is a nationally recognized, easy to remember phone number. 211 provides an efficient connection between people seeking assistance with available local human service resources.

Reporting to the Quality & Training Manager, the Quality Assurance & Training Specialist will operate at the PA 211 Southwest call center to assist in the creation and presentation of training materials to new hires in person. This specialist will monitor contact center interactions (calls, texts, chats, referrals, and follow-ups) to check for adherence to established protocols, provide ongoing coaching to Resource Navigators, and share coaching observations with supervisors to shape further necessary training.

A high school diploma or GED equivalent with one (1) year of related quality and training experience is required. An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or two (2) to three (3) years’ of experience of related quality and training experience is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Corporate Engagement Associate

The Corporate Engagement Associate supports fundraising efforts of United Way’s Workplace Fundraising Team, part of the larger Donor Relations team and currently comprised of five full-time fundraising professionals. In this role, the individual will assist in raising nearly $23 million from hundreds of top local companies and will experience first-hand the strategies developed and utilized in larger-scale corporate fundraising. This position will include organizing and facilitating fundraising events, analyzing key donor data, ensuring corporate contacts have the necessary tools to fundraise, and supporting the Workplace Fundraising team as necessary. This entry-level position is well suited for an individual interested in deepening their development experience.

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of education.
