Chances are, you or someone you know is caring for an older loved one. In fact, 1 in 6 employees in Southwestern Pennsylvania is a caregiver. Caregiving might include occasional tasks such as helping loved ones fill prescriptions, pay their bills, or get to the doctor. For some, this care is more intense and may include daily check-ins, bathing and preparing meals.
We know that helping a family member can strain your work, your health and your finances – and United Way cares.
That’s why, in partnership with The Pittsburgh Foundation, we worked closely with local employers to create and test a new program to help companies support caregivers, called United for Caregivers@Work. The program features educational and practical resources, including manager training, an employee survey, a series of learning sessions on common caregiving topics, and more.
We’re here to help your company support its caregivers. Enroll in United for Caregivers@Work – and we’ll provide easy-to-use resources on caregiving, unique opportunities to connect with other employers, and best practices to improve employee satisfaction, productivity and recruiting.
