REEMA TROIANA

TOGETHER Leading: Getting involved in a new community

When her employer gave Reema Troiana an opportunity to travel to Pittsburgh from India in 2004 for a short term project, she jumped at the chance. One opportunity led to other and now, Reema is a vice president in PNC’s project management office and is excited to get involved and help the local community through United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council (WLC).

At this year’s WLC breakfast, Karen Larrimer, United Way’s 2015 campaign co-chair and the head of retail banking and chief customer officer at PNC, would commit PNC’s WLC members to step up and sponsor ‘women of promise,’ specifically to join WLC’s TOGETHER Leading program. After the breakfast, Stacy Juchno, PNC general auditor, reached out with an offer to be Reema’s sponsor.

TOGETHER Leading is a great way to demonstrate and connect women leaders with the outcomes United Way is driving in our community and engage their interest to become further involved with the Council’s powerful work,” Stacy said.

Reema has always respected Stacy for her professionalism and accomplishments and was thrilled to be able to develop a closer relationship through TOGETHER Leading. The two meet regularly to discuss work-life balance, how to stay focused on goals and plans for the future.

“I want to learn more about what I can do to help the community,” Reema said. “The women of WLC are all doing their parts. I look forward to taking my place among them.”
