To plan for a brighter tomorrow, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania launched TOGETHER Leading in 2016! This initiative enables a Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) member to sponsor a woman of promise “to get her leading” by introducing her to all that the WLC has to offer.

Through the TOGETHER Leading program, a current WLC member can sponsor a young professional woman, age 35 or younger, for up to two years. The member would make an additional gift of $500, allocated to either United Way’s Impact Fund or United for Women, to sponsor a young woman of the member’s choosing, giving her the opportunity to experience all WLC and Bridges Society have to offer during that campaign year. Along with discovering firsthand the rewards of philanthropic leadership of the WLC, the sponsored young woman will:

• Gain confidence and leadership skills
• Network with our regions most distinguished and philanthropic leaders
• Access exclusive member events and high-impact volunteer opportunities
• Make an impact on the lives of those in need through her involvement in meaningful activities

By becoming a positive role model to a young woman, WLC members will increase the impact, strength and influence of the WLC in years to come.
