“You have to be creative to keep the kids here, and we’ve seen a lot of great improvement.”
Together, we have made a difference in the lives of many local people in need. We have built a strong educational foundation for disadvantaged kids, provided tools and resources to help struggling families, helped ensure that people with disabilities are able to realize their full potential and helped seniors remain independent and living in the homes they love. These are the success stories of those who have been helped through our work:
“I’ve been at the bottom, trying to pull myself up. That refund makes a big difference.”
“The truck I used to get back and forth to work needed emergency repairs, but I did not have the money to get the repairs done. I was so happy and relieved to learn United for Women could help me.”
“We’re making a difference, really creating change for adults with complex disabilities. We’re ensuring they’re not forgotten.”
“The kids are so excited and happy when they bring their backpacks home.”
"No matter how dark it is, try to see the light at the end of the tunnel. After the storm, the sun will always rise."
"This help from United for Women was a life-saver for me and my son, a light in the darkness. I don’t know how much longer we would have survived without it."
“Teaching kids these healthy habits early on is so important.”
“I wish people could understand that not all people are homeless because of drugs, or alcohol. It can happen to anybody.”
